The new Telarc CD "Joined At The Hip" featuring Pinetop Perkins and Willie Big Eyes Smith is just fabulous.  They should have named it "Joined At The Heart."  These two blues icons are certainly "blood brothers" when it comes to the blues.  With Pinetop on piano and Willie on harmonica and vocals, it just breathes "old time blues."  Put it on, and leave it on the turntable.  How wonderful, and lucky we are to have such old blues in this modern day.  These guys transcend time, and give us way more than we deserve.  Thank you gentlemen.

This is a history lesson presented not by a boring lecturer or dry recitation of names and dates but rather a living history lesson presented by men who were at the center of it and know how to bring it to us.  It's good to hear these two Joined At The Hip once again.  Let's hope they stay that way for a good while longer.  Read the full review here.
